TATMETAL selects IFS Applications to drive digital transformation
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that TATMETAL, one of Turkey’s leading flat steel producers, has chosen IFS Applications 9 to embark on its digital transformation.
As the fourth largest steel producer in the country, TATMETAL delivers its products to customers in industries such as construction, automotive, domestic appliances, and heating and cooling. Following a competitive eight-month tender process, TATMETAL selected IFS Application because of its engaging user interface, its industry-specific capabilities, and its ability to accommodate the company’s future needs.
The IFS solution will cover all essential business processes, including product data management (PDM), production and planning, sales, purchasing and distribution, quality management, document management, HR, payroll, and financials.
“By investing in IFS Applications, we are enabling a comprehensive, company-wide flow of information that will help accelerate our strategic development and reaffirm our company’s commitment to digital transformation,” said Sedat Çiftçioğlu, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at TATMETAL. “The IFS team presented a solution that is robust enough to secure a return on investment in the mid-term and that is flexible enough to help us capitalise on transformational industry trends such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things.”
Managing director for IFS in Turkey Ergin Öztürk added, “We are very pleased to sign yet another major client in the Turkish steel industry. By working with companies such as Cemtas and Ağır Haddecilik, we are confident that our best-practice industry solutions will power TATMETAL’s growth in the years to come. Together with our technology partner F8 Informatics, we look forward to helping TATMETAL build a fully integrated, end-to-end digital factory.”
